Prof. Lindenstruth is full professor at Goethe-University with focus on high performance computer architecture. He holds several patents in the field of highly efficient data centers and computer architecture. He has designed and built the Green Cube data center at the GSI Helmholtzcenter, which has the „Blaue Engel“ and operates at an average annual PUE below 1.07 at a nominal load of 15%. The best demonstrated PUE of the Green Cube at a load of 60% was 1.03. Prof. Lindenstruth is a nuclear Ph.D. physicist, who spent 5 years in Berkeley, CA and after that 12 years as chair for computer architecture at the university Heidelberg.
