Kevin Kent, newly appointed director of global business development at GCX, continues to be recognized throughout the United States and internationally as a leader in data center sustainability and carbon accounting. He has an affiliation with several United States environmental foundations and is a Climate Reality Leader. For his commitment to improve global data center sustainability, decrease carbon footprints, and protect our environment, both nationally and internationally, Kevin was selected to serve on the international Data Center Institute Board of Directors where he continues his focus on reducing the data center industry impact on climate change. Kevin is a global trainer for DCD Academy providing critical training and certification for the data center industry. Kevin has also earned countless certifications including CDCP and DCT facilities management. In 2022 Kevin wrote a data center sustainability certification program designed to award and recognize organizations who follow best practices for sustainability. He has been featured in several tech magazines, blogs, webinars, and live podcasts throughout the year and continues to create awareness on sustainable practices and provide education around the world.
