NDC-GARBE's development in Hanau (Frankfurt area) for Google Cloud
The 10,000 square meters, four-story building is nearing completion and will be fully operational in 2022. It will expand Google’s existing Frankfurt Google Cloud region and serve the growing demand for Google Cloud services in Germany. “We are honored to contribute to Google’s commitment to supporting the transition to a digital and sustainable economy,” stated Peter Pohlschröder, Managing Director at NDC-GARBE.
With the support of the local government and mayor Kaminsky, a brownfield was identified and redeveloped to reduce urban sprawl. “Sustainability has been our focus since day one,” declared Herbert Radlinger, VP Projects & Solutions at NDC-GARBE. Indeed, the data center meets high sustainability standards. Hence, the choice of a modular solution and flexible combination of adiabatic and dry cooling mode. Market-leading average seasonal PUE and WUE are expected, and operations will be efficient and carbon-free, as energy demand will be matched with clean energy on a year-by-year basis.
“As a German company, we are very proud to be entrusted by Google to deliver their first owned data center in our country,” concluded Spyridon Linardakis, Managing Director at NDC-GARBE.
