In this session, Marientina Laina will discuss a heated topic: how is ESG regulation advancing the sustainability agenda for data centres and what are the currently perceived roadblocks? Considering major global policy developments, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the updated Energy Efficiency Directive in the EU and the proposed Climate Disclosure Rule in the US, how is regulation shaping data centres’ strategy and, ultimately, helping to build resilience? Marientina will delve into opportunities to be leveraged when regulation is seen, instead of a reporting exercise, as a driver of action, collaboration, and transparency.
