Designing and Updating Data Centre for AI Adapting a Proactive Asset Management Strategy

The data center industry’s exponential growth poses challenges: designing new data centers for the surge and retrofitting existing ones for sustainability. These challenges are further compounded by a shortage of qualified technicians with the necessary skills to perform critical service work.
To future-proof investments and mitigate risks, we introduce the Proactive Asset Management Strategy for Data Centers. This strategy leverages IoT-connected equipment for continuous monitoring, AI-powered predictive analytics, and factory-based digital commissioning to reduce costs and downtime.
We’re building predictive analytics for our equipment and a Digital Twin of the full electro-mechanical system for customers, from grid to chip and chip to chiller. This twin incorporates Schneider Electric’s connected assets and equipment from various manufacturers, providing instrumentation for AI-driven services and integrating the entire system regardless of the original equipment supplier. Our experts and data scientists can monitor correlations, detect risks, and identify anomalies early, enabling continuous hypothesis formulation for new designs like Chiller CDUs and liquid cooling.
We’re introducing conversational and visual tools for technicians, leveraging large language models and virtual reality, for remote troubleshooting and personalized expertise, improving service quality and consistency.
We’ll share practical examples, including learnings from our collaboration with COMPASS Datacenters, demonstrating how these innovations transform data center designs, reduce costs and risks, and enhance efficiency and reliability.
