Sustainable Data Centre Development
With global operational capacity expected to grow by 68% to 178,000 MW by 2029, the need to develop data centres in a much more sustainable way is one of the most pressing challenges for the data centre industry today.
Simon McCormick is the Chief Technical Officer at Echelon Data Centres, an infrastructure provider for the data centre industry. Prior to joining Echelon, Simon worked for a global design consultancy where he was part of the data centre leadership team.
Simon will share insights from Echelon’s projects in London and Dublin, including how Echelon is tackling these issues.
- •How ‘sustainable’ shouldn’t just mean energy but should also include the design and build process as well
- •The growth of cloud services, re-thinking resiliency and the impact that has on how we create data centres
- •The role of renewable energy and the role it can and should play in data centre developments this decade
