Mr. Ota is a recognized global expert in lithium-ion batteries, having been present at the birth of the technology in Japan 30 years ago. He co-founded Quallion, the first lithium-ion manufacturer in the US, serving the medical and aerospace industries. Subsequently, as CTO and COO of Enerdel, he led the HEV, PHEV, EV, and grid storage product lines and developed GWh production capability.
