Hermes Real Estate and GCE Datacentres have formed a joint venture to provide a real estate solution for operators seeking to secure new data centre facilities in greater London and throughout the United Kingdom.

We manage all aspects of data centre development, from identifying a suitable site, its acquisition, obtaining planning consent, buying the required electrical power supply and constructing either a powered shell or a fully operational data centre.

By combining our long standing experience within the commercial property market along with the financial backing of one of the countries leading institutional real estate managers with £5.8 billion of assets under management, we are able to offer innovative building techniques and cutting edge technology. Our data centres will therefore, give occupiers huge operational flexibility and significant cost advantages.

We have already acquired the freehold interest of a 3.2 acres site in Bracknell, purchased MVA of power, obtained planning consent for a 78,000 sq ft data centre in three buildings ranging from 5,000 sq ft net upwards and we have recently commenced the site preparation works.
Additionally, Hermes Real Estate own the 20 acre Perivale Industrial Estate adjacent to the A40 in West London, where we have recently obtained planning consent for a 30,000 sq ft data centre and 6MVA of power has been secured.
