Modern data centres need Backup generators to the Backup generators. But why do they need such a level of redundancy? Does it make the data centre more secure or is it just because customers specify it without understanding why? This presentation addresses the need for different levels of redundancy in London data centres and illustrates it with a photo display of the installation of dual diesel generators in a difficult central London location in 2011.
