What others say about Data Centre World

Where More is Less and Less is More.  Essential Data Centre Design Considerations for long term Space and Density Optimisation

Register free to attend this session

With expensive data centre space at a premium, a clear and well thought out design is essential to ensure space is not wasted or underutilised due to poor forward planning.

Siemon’s data centre infrastructure expert, Alberto Zucchinali, will demonstrate the massive effect that initial cabling design choices can have on long term space efficiency and will evaluate the range of space saving options available to enable customers to optimise their data centre footprint early on in the design phase.

Highlighting the range of options currently available and the major arguments for and against their implementation, discussions will include the impact of 10G on data centre design, next generation cabling (beyond 40 gig) and the importance of space design and data centre architecture. Particular focus will be given to the implications of evaluating cabling pathways early on in the design phase and how cabling design choices can have a significant impact on the overall density of a data centre design.

The session will provide network and data centre managers with real technical solutions to simplify their decision making processes when it comes to making important and costly choices on data centre design.

As well as a clear understanding of infrastructure choices and implications, delegates will also gain an insight into the changing face of the data centre according to existing and future standards.

Speaker: Alberto Zucchinali

Job title: EMEA Data Centre Solutions and Services Manager

Company: The Siemon Company

Alberto Zucchinali RCDD, EMEA data centre solutions and services manager, Siemon Graduated in Electronics Engineering at the Politecnico of Milan.
