Register free to attend this session
This session will look at changes required to move from managing siloes of data to a platform that allows information to be leveraged as a strategic and competitive asset. It will discuss:
- Business Challenges and Industry Trends:
- How does information drive competitive advantage?
- Managing Costs and Efficiency
- Achieving Business Acceleration from IT
- Whats more common: Managing one set of Big Data or a huge number of sets of Small Data?
- Relative growth trends for structured and unstructured data
- Automated, virtualised, cloud-ready data centres
- How the path to the information centre is built on a three-tiered approach that leverages existing IT investments to provide a single, virtualised platform for all data:
- The Infrastructure Cloud which unifies server, storage and networking silos using virtualised and converged resources to provide a dynamic infrastructure
- The Content Cloud which enables IT managers to search, discover and repurpose data
- The Information Cloud which provides vertical aligned functionality to integrate analytics, tools and processes
- Case Study: Clinical Repository Cloud at Klinikum Wels-Grieskirchen
- Klinikum Wells is the fifth largest hospital in Austria and needed an intelligent approach to data management that complies with governance regulations and reduces cost and complexity
- The technology behind building a cloud on a scalable metadata platform
- How developing a content cloud meant that Klinikum Wels was able to provide centralised and integrated access to patient data
Who should attend this session?
IT decision makers, data centre operators, data centre managers, CIOs, CTOs, IT directors, data centre engineers, IT managers, network managers, storage planners, system managers, C-level executives across all sectors
What will delegates learn from this session?
Delegates will learn the value of using automated, virtualised, cloud-ready solutions to discover the benefits of data that is being stored in the data centre
Why is this issue of interest to delegates?
IT departments can no longer afford to simply function as data custodians. As capacity remains one of the biggest concerns for data centre managers, organisations need to store, govern and manage data so that it can be shared and analysed for better insight and innovation across the company. Only then can businesses realise the true value of data and its role as an organisations most important asset.
