Securing the Cloud - what every ISP needs to know

ASPs are looking for solutions to secure their web based applications. They want to protect their content and the content of their users. Also, they wish to improve the trust in online channels or improve the security of self-service systems (which will reduce back office costs). Traditional authentication solutions are considered too costly due to low usage of some applications or low transaction value or because they do not have the resources to manage it. In this presentation, VASCO will define how a cloud based authentication solution enhances the security for web based applications while meeting the concerns of the ASPs. This cloud based authentication offering manages the entire authentication process for the ASP. It gives ASPs the opportunity to share the authentication infrastructure with other third party applications and it might represent additional revenue opportunities for the online provider. In particular, we will outline the need for flexible and cost efficient authentication as an important step in the growth of mobile and online channels. The presentation will focus on the business drivers and challenges ASPs might face when implementing hosted authentication.
