New innovations in ethernet fabics revolutionise virtualised data centres

Register free to attend this session

IT organisations are aggressively deploying server virtualisation in data centres to consolidate applications and improve resource utilisation.

The cost savings of server virtualisation resulting from increased asset utilisation, higher availability, and on-demand application deployment have met the business mandate to “do more with less.” However, the underlying limitations in current network technologies have often prevented organisations from meeting the performance, availability, security, and mobility requirements of server virtualisation.

A recent innovation in networking, Ethernet fabrics are revolutionising the way highly virtualised data centre networks are architected and how they function. Compared to classic hierarchical Ethernet architectures, Ethernet fabrics provide higher levels of performance, utilisation, availability, and simplicity required to meet the business needs of data centres today and into the future. Brocade EMEA Product Marketing Manager, Alan Murphy, will examine the various approaches and technologies that comprise today’s Ethernet Fabric solutions. He will provide organisations with essential background to select the best approach to create a roadmap to optimise their virtualised infrastructures and accelerate their journey to the cloud
