Data Centre World VisitorImproving PUE with a battery free UPS System
Register free to attend this session
Battery free UPS technology is considered green however, the most efficient UPS systems still tend to be lead acid static systems. The new compressed air UPS systems (Air-DRUPS) offer the green credentials of static systems without the lead and the acid. This paper and presentation will describe the technology and focus on how Data Centre managers can design the most efficient data centre that is battery-free with a good PUE from day one. The technology is explained and the system features that optimize the efficiency are discussed. Case studies of data centres and other industries that are using this system are covered in this presentation including National Grid UK and USA.
Who should attend this session?
Facilities managers, data centre consultants, data centre managers
What will delegates learn from this session?
Latest technology, design considerations for UPS systems. PUE improvements by using a modular UPS approach.
Why is this issue of interest to delegates?
Data Centre designers and managers are typically interested in improving PUE, increasing the efficiency of their UPS systems and learning about new alternative technologies.
