Frank Catapano is Vice President of Operations, of Validus DC Systems, LLC (A member of the ABB group). In his role, Mr. Catapano is responsible for production, engineering and the technical support of the Validus product line. Frank brings over 30 years of electrical engineering, systems integration, power systems maintenance/testing and contracting experience to the Validus team.
Prior to joining Validus, Mr. Catapano was Vice President of Sales for a leading mission-critical equipment company specializing in integrated critical power and cooling equipment solutions, turnkey construction, monitoring and equipment service. He led the design and implementation of integrated systems solutions for mission-critical data centers for a variety of major financial service, telecommunication, and high-technology companies including Merrill Lynch, AT&T and Avon Products. Mr. Catapano has also previously led Mechanical and Electrical Projects teams for a large consulting engineering firm specializing in high technology, financial services, educational and research customers, and was an executive in an electrical contracting company servicing commercial and government clients.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hartford, Mr. Catapano also has an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Waterbury State Technical College and is a licensed electrician.
