Data Centre World VisitorEN 5600 - an update

The latest update on the new Data Centre standard which will address energy efficiency enablement and availability. The first standard of the EN 50600 series (EN 50600-1) is forecast to be published in early 2012 so data centre managers need to be ready. This presentation will look the background to the standard, what it will cover including availability, security and environment, the timeframe for implementation and the impact for data centre and network managers.

Company: Nexans Cabling SolutionsRob Cardigan has been in the Structured Cabling industry in a variety of technical roles since 1989 and is Secretary of BSI (UK) Committee TCT7/-/1 and Chairman of TCT7/-/3.
He is also a member of the Cenelec TC215 WG3 (Data Centre Infrastructures) working group. Rob has a BSc in Control Engineering and is qualified as a BISCI RCDD/NTS. He is also a Chartered Member of the British Computer Society (BCS) and works for Nexans as Senior Product Manager for the LANsense range of Intelligent Infrastructure Management products.
