The volume of business data is growing at an astonishing rate. As organisations increasingly look to process, store and access the bulk of business data off-site, the data centre market is having to grow and respond to increased demand. However, this growth in demand has brought some challenges; space, speed and cost. The rising costs of running a data centre in urban areas is pushing more of them out into rural locations, but this migration cant come at the expense of service levels. Customers still expect to access their data quickly and safely, regardless of whether a data centre is in London or Lymington. Whats more, with rising energy prices data centre managers are under pressure to provide the best service possible without breaking the bank with energy fees.
Who should attend this session?
Businesses and data centre operators looking at ways to improve the reliability and speed of their network connections, as well as those looking at ways to become more energy efficient with streamlined technology
What will delegates learn from this session?
How high capacity point to point network connections will benefit data centre connectivity and reliability. How having higher capacity interconnects can help to cut energy usage
Why is this issue of interest to delegates?
Increased pressure to cut costs while improving efficiency in these tough economic times together with the rising cost of real estate in urban areas - means that many data centre operators should be reviewing their technology and connectivity solutions in order to do things better, faster and more cost effectively.
